Code is Poetry
What human of earthly residence would think that an installation of an online blogging tool could conjure such creativity beyond my meagre intellectual means, and engage a state of mind so willing to express and explore the human mind for inspiration, that Freud himself would have been all confuseled!
“Click here to install”. But wait! Cease mouse-fire! The most wondrous phrase foots this page! A three word tagline so poignant and true that I’m nodding ferociously in realisation. My brain is saying “yes, yes, YES!”… like that Kellogg’s Cornflakes advert where the chap nods and nods more and more in satisfaction of each mushy mouthful (it makes me gag that advert). Alas, I am now that very man, lapping at the meaning and consequence of the Wordpress tagline: “Code is poetry”.
How true can something be! Before I know my socks from my pants I’m banging out “the riddims” faster than Fat Man Scoop and The Dog called Snoop, doing lyrical loop the loops, but with much cooler hand gestures.
This tagline of enlightenment had urged me into a state of stanzas and rhythm, with all kinds of binary shizzles and nism. With closed eyes, I’m shaking my head in a “no” gesture, but really I’m saying “yes, this is good”. From the outside, the head-shaking and facial gestures look akin to a man undesirable of his own foot tapping. The reality; the head nayying and “music face” is of a poet lost in the lyrics. The foot was now the metronome to a dazzle of words and phrases, and it was all somehow
coming from my human brain.
