Review of 2022

2022 was a milestone year for enotions, seeing it turn 20 years old in April! You can read all about it here.

It’s a peculiar sensation to have run an agency for that many years. Part of me feels it can’t possibly have been 20 years, and the other part of me feels it’s the only thing I’ve ever known!

But a good number of miles under the bonnet are only part of the story. The most important thing is that we’re still producing good work, we’re still dedicated to going above and beyond for our clients and that we’re still enjoying our work!

A busy schedule and workload

enotions has enjoyed its 21st year in good health and spirits, with a busy schedule and workload, as well as some really interesting and engaging projects it’s had the pleasure to be involved with.

The team has continued to grow, and we are now 13 in number. Long time techie and system admin wonder Ian Holden retired in September. He’d worked with enotions for over ten years, bringing in many of the excellent practices we have in place on all projects as standard. A brilliant professional and much missed colleague.

Despite an increasingly difficult financial backdrop against which to contend, enotions has continued to thrive with work encompassing the full spectrum of marketing disciplines, from brand creation through to web hosting. We end the year with a full roster of work to take us into 2023.

Websites for authors

The start of the year had a decidedly literary theme, with web sites for authors Tom Bromley and Heidi Amsinck. Having connections to the literary world myself, it’s always a thrill to work with fellow writers and give them a presence online to really help with their careers.

After working with RockSalt Training on their web site, SEO and social media, we the had our first branding job of the year, creating a new brand for London-based healthcare company Artius Medic. Afterwards, we designed and built their web site, and have worked on their SEO throughout the year.

A diverse range of industries and companies

In April we launched Constantine Wind Energy’s web site and, hot on its heels, Jenny Smith Midwife’s web site. Part of the reason I love my job so much is no two days or projects are ever the same. It’s a pleasure to work with such a diverse range of industries and companies like we have on our books.

Going into the summer, we worked with a host of local Salisbury companies, including famous butchers Pritchetts and their online shop and New Forest potter Leo Dashwood.

Websites for restaurants

We also worked with many of the city’s restaurants, adding Smashed Burger to the ranks of Anokaa, Baroushka, Grillado, Gringos and Culture Coffee who we’ve looked after for many many years. AND, restaurants further afield, including acclaimed London-based restaurants The Caravel and Bruno’s Bar.

To end the year, we returned to doing a web site for another author, Paul Morgan-Bentley, as well as supporting local retail stores, including The Compleat Artist, to help with targeted social media advertising. The renown art shop enjoyed an increase in Facebook reach of 127,000% in just six weeks of working with us.

We were also honoured to be contacted by Trailback Boots, based in Cornwall, to help with their entire marketing planning for 2023.

Always doing the best for our clients

enotions’ ambitions continue to be rooted in achieving success for our clients. It’s never been about profits or record turnover for us. It’s been about doing the best for clients and the budgets they have. As long as we’re able to continue to use the best people to do the best possible work, and continue into the next year doing the same thing, then we’re happy.

Whilst one does the local rounds, one hears stories of companies who’ve been burnt by what some agencies will charge. At enotions we have always been transparent about how much things will cost, and make a point of charging at a rates so that almost every business will be able to afford and therefore benefit from our expertise and skills.
