From Dial-Up Days to Dynamic Designs

From our humble beginnings in 2002, enotions has grown to become the go to website designer in Salisbury. For over two decades, businesses have trusted our expertise, innovation, and keen eye for design.

Setting the Digital Stage in Salisbury

When we set out in the early days of enotions, the internet was a novel space. Most users would patiently endure the familiar screech of a dial-up connection to access the digital world! As Salisbury’s pioneering web designers, we had a vision – to craft websites that not only looked good but performed impeccably.

Keeping Pace with Progress

As the years rolled on, so too did the evolution of internet technology. The advent of broadband changed the game, offering faster, more reliable connections. We were quick to realise the paradigm shift when mobile devices surged in popularity, altering the way users interacted with the digital landscape. To stay ahead, we transitioned from merely designing websites to crafting immersive experiences, ensuring seamless access across devices.

As enotions grown, our services matured and diversified. We expanded into film production, helping brands tell their stories in the most compelling way. We’ve also immersed ourselves in social media, ensuring our clients not only have a voice but one that resonates strongly amidst the chatter.

Standing Strong Today

Fast-forward to today, and you’ll find enotions in prime form, continuing to be Salisbury’s go-to for all things digital. More than just a web design agency, we’re a testament to endurance in the digital world, a chronicle of evolution, and most importantly, your trusted partner in carving out digital success.

Below is a brief potted history of the company, from its formation in 2002, through to the key events and highlights which have helped shape it and the personnel who have made it. Right up to now and the fine health and activity you can find it in today.

After working for IBM for a number of years, they had grown tired of the corporate machine and wanted to bring what they had learnt working with the likes of Samsung, Prudential, Wimbledon Championships and Vauxhall to the world of small and medium business in Salisbury. They make an immediate impact on local business, growing their client list to 40 in size within six months.

All change at enotions

After working with big brands for over five years, enotions draws back from the corporate limelight and returns to concentrating on small and medium sized local business. As Rob explains, “We got away from the main reason my wife and I set the business up in the first place. It was never intended to be this huge agency, employing over twenty people and producing work for big brands and corporations. Which is exactlyy what it had become. Despite all the perks, I wasn’t comfortable with it and wanted to get back to helping local business and making a real difference. So we did!”

Moving to a freelance model

enotions returns to working with smaller Salisbury-based companies. As a result, budgets shrink and how we work changes. No longer able to employ the large team of designers and developers they once did, enotions moves to a freelance model, where the best in the freelance market are identified, recruited and used as used as and when required. This new working methodology provides huge flexibility in the way in which enotions is able to work, speeding up time to design and build sites, whilst reducing costs to the client. The best freelancers are retained and used time and again, to ensure consistent quality of work.

Shared and imparted to the rest of the team, this makes enotions an agency who don’t just act on client’s wishes, but who think first and then act.
